Mustafa Al-Shawaf

Mustafa Al-Shawaf is Vice President of Finance for North Star BlueScope and BlueScope Recycling and Materials, where he provides leadership across finance, procurement, and corporate strategy having previously led Financial Planning and Analysis for North Star BlueScope.

With more than two decades of experience in steel, manufacturing, and consulting, Mustafa has built a career leading strategy, transformation, and operational improvement efforts. Prior to joining BlueScope, he served as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer for Ardagh Glass Packaging North America and previously held senior leadership roles with EVRAZ North America. His experience includes corporate strategy, analytics, mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, operational excellence, digital innovation, and large-scale business transformation.

Mustafa began his career with Caterpillar and has also held positions with Alcoa and Booz & Company. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
